Money, something you can't live without. Especially here in Singapore.

When we're young, it only means to us that we would be able to buy loads of toys, sweets and games with it. Even a mere $2 means a lot to us. But now? You won't probably have enough if you just bring $50 out. Time changes everything, even our currency. Last time $2 you will be able to have a decent meal liao. But nowadays, $2 may be enough for ONLY 1/2 meal.

I still remember when I was in Primary school, my allowance was only $1.20 a day. Very little right?? But it can do a lot already. I'll be able to buy a bowl of noodles and maybe a few fishballs plus potato and drinks. And maybe still got left.

But nowadays looking at the students around you will be able to know that time has really changed everything. In the past, Macdonald's was already a luxury to us but now students are hanging out at Cafe Cartel, Starbucks, TCC. And you will be able to find $50 in their wallet whenever you look inside. Seriously, does a school student nowadays really need that much?? Even for me secondary school I only take the most $10 from my grandma. There can't be Sakae Sushi in the school canteen ba....

And look at the number of students having handphones. Even kids as young as 8 or 9 years old!! Hello!! I only had my first phone at Primary 6 and I still have to buy it myself lor... At that age shouldn't it be going to school and after that go home?? What for need a phone?? Even mobile company are coming out kids plan...OMG.....

It just further proves how much we spoil our kids now.

Maybe its because most of the parents are working and they don't have that much time to spend with their child so the next best choice?? Replace it with money. They don't really bear to scold or hit their child because rarely do they have the chance to accompany them. And they believe in talking to their child reasons when we were all caned before when we're young. So end up?? Spoilt and rude kids.

Of course I'm not referring to all lah... But what ever happened to ' money is hard to earn'???

But still, the happiest and most stress free time is during our childhood. At least we can just ask our parents for the money and like I've said, even $2 meant a lot to us. But now we're grown up, and we started to be working adults and thus that luxury ended.

Every single month, there will always been the ever so high hp bill, maybe the car loan that is taking you damn long to pay off, the electricity and water bills, allowance for your mom and etc. By the end of the first week getting your pay, maybe around half will be gone. And you'll still have to leave money for your meals and transport before you can go clubbing or buy your new shoes or that new Guess bag. And remember you have to work for 1 month to get the money. Despite your Boss scoldings, customers complaints and maybe the occasional office politics....

Its tough as a adult isn't it?? And you haven't get married or have a child yet.

Of course if you have a degree or whatever certificate and you're earning $8k per month, then good for you. But remember that not everyone is as rich as you. And somemore no matter how much you earn, if you don't know how to save then the money will also start to disappear de....

Ok, its scary right??? That's reality, my dear.

However, money is not everything too. Even if you're loaded but you have a bad character and always look down on other people, would you be happy??

PS : (Gordan is on his way to pick me liao so I'm going to end this topic liao...)

Earning as much as possible is everyone's dream. Even better if you don't have to do anything to get that. But make sure that you're happy realising that dream. As money can't buy happiness or health.

Huat ar!!!!!!!
